where is the love?

I have seen a few episode of Singapore idol...sadly to say I could n't have the heart to watch it tillthe end. I was a very loya supporter of american idol as its a joy to listen to the contestants singing and the wittiness of the judges. esp Simon Cowell. He is able to give his views in a diplomatic way and fairness.

Athough I was ashame that there is hardly any singaporean who can really be on par with the Americans if not surpass...I truly admired the participants courage to go for the audition and sing their heart out. That is very entrepreneur of them. Even though I could tell some were just out there for their 15 mins of fame cos they just couldn't sing at all....still kudos to them for the courage.

However , the thing I couldn't stand is the words and comments that came out form the judges... as panel of judges, I have total respect for them in their professionalism and years of experience in the music industry. That is b4 the audition. But apparrently, this is not true for some of them. I was disappointed with Dick Lee and Florence lian for their remarks on some contestants. I am sure you would have read about it on the news. I think its downright insulting and cruel. the contestants have did nothing wrong to deserve these thrashings. Even as they can't sing, I don 't agree they should suffer such treatments from the judges.... to some meek ones, it makes them feels worse than a dog.

I know the judges are suppose to mimick the behavior of their American counterparts, but obviously they are not doing a good job.. just hear the words they said. No wit, no sense of a pro. Cuts like a knife! The after effects on those "fallen angels" could have dented their confidence and how they see themselves in the future. I am not making a hill out of a mole...Most of them are just teenages and young adults....

the ghost within....

I believe there is a ghost in everyone of us. The ghost represents our fears, shortcomings, limittations and the cowardness in us. Why are some people so successful in lives, and why some struggled for so long yet they dwell in unhappiness with no achievements at all. In other words, they have been going around in circles and circles...

Those who are successful are able to conquer their ghost in them. In their mind , they only believe and focus on one thing. Its now or never. Its do or die. Most successful people have a sense of adventure and unfalling spirit. they pick themselves up when they fell in times of adversity. Its easier said than done. This certainly requires a lot of courage and determination.

I believe everyone of us can be a millionaire. Thers is absolutely no secret behind. After reading some self - help books and stories on successful people, I concluded that they all have to go through hell before they can made it to heaven. Hardship, poverty and disappointment is a path that has to be taken before it leads to success. Cos' if we never went thru the bad times, how are we going to learn our lessons and do the right things?

The reason why the percentage of millionaires/billionaires is so small is because not everyone can truly overcome their ghost. I believe in that. Some almost can..but the faith is not enough to carry them thru. Some people are fortunate to be born with a beautiful face and that make success a little easier for them. But I am happy that I am not one of them. If I am successful in life, I can truly say that I worked harder and are more capable than them.

I just need that chance to go thru hell ....anyway I got nothing to lose. My ghost is indecisiveness.
My life would certainly have been better if I follow my heart rather than my head 5 years ago when I was ready for varsity education. Nevertheless, wat's done is done, it could be a blessing in disguise, but I won't know. Time will tell.

My only hope now is to be given a chance to hell to kill the ghost inside me. I don't expect people to understand wat I am writing about...cos' i don't give a damn of wat people thinks..I live for myself.

the village

the village is NOT A HORROR MOVIE!!! no..it never meant to be that way....though there are certain scenes which might scare you off....but its not even close to those horror jap movies ..

There is a deeper meaning to it...briefly speaking..its about community love, innocence and the concept about ideal living into this crule world where money is the root of all evils. I shall not review too much ...go and watch it!!

PS: this movie is for those who expect a twist in the plot rather than a predictable one....
